Meat Pie




 Dough

 500g all purpose flour   

Pinch of salt

240g unsalted butter   

1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoon cold water


Fillings:

450g ground beef /minced beef

1 large potato(diced)

1 carrot(diced)

1/2 teaspoon each Curry Thyme Chilli Garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 seasoning cube

2 tablespoons flour

3/4 cup water

1. Heat up oil, fry chop onions

2. Add ground meat, curry, thyme, chilli, garlic powder, mix and cook...

3. Add potato, carrot,, flour, water, simmer till soft...leave to cool

4. In a bowl, add flour, salt, butter, mix with finger tips till crumbly.

5. Add water bit by bit till become a dough.

6. Divide dough into 2 portions and cover with cling wrap for 30 mins and put in the fridge.

7. Out from fridge cut dough into parts and roll out the dough-use a round cutter. Put a tbsp of meat and fold the half. Use a fork to print the edges. Pork holes on the top part with a fork.

8. Lay on a greased tray, brush with egg wash(1 egg yolk + 1 tsp water)

9. Bake at 190c for 35 mins.
